Hi, I’m Kylee – dog lover, trainer, behaviour specialist and proud owner of Spring 2 Action.

My love for dogs started young. Growing up, my family always had dogs—our first being Weimaraners. Over the years, my mum owned English Springer Spaniels and Golden Retrievers, while my dad had a German Shorthaired Pointer. Some of my earliest memories are of dog shows and obedience trials, watching my dad in the show ring and my mum teaching classes. I even got to run agility courses with instructors’ dogs while mum was teaching at our local club!

When I got my first dog in 2021, a beautiful English Springer Spaniel named Oakley, I followed the traditional obedience path—but we struggled. There were nights I’d be in tears, feeling like I was letting her down. Agility training was just as tough; Oakley was easily distracted and often disengaged during sessions. Then my club president introduced me to Absolute Dogs and concept training. At first, I wasn’t sure that playing games with my dog would actually work—but what did I have to lose?

That decision changed everything. Concept training—force-free, fear-free and game-based—transformed our journey. Oakley went from struggling to thriving, and I discovered how much fun training could be. Our bond grew stronger, and I became the confident, capable dog mum I’d always wanted to be.

Inspired in 2022, I immersed myself in dog training, completing multiple courses and eventually qualifying as a certified Pro Dog Trainer in 2023. That same year, I also began instructing classes at my agility club, which has been an incredibly rewarding way to share my passion and experience with others. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge with certification in Canine First Aid, as well as achieving PDT Geek and PDT Genius certifications in 2025.

I now offer tailored training programs for dogs of all ages and breeds, including in-home sessions across Perth’s southern suburbs and online programs for owners outside my service area. My Life Skills programs are designed to help with everyday challenges like recall, loose lead walking, confidence building and more. Puppies are my specialty, and I love nothing more than setting them up for success—watching them grow, develop and learn about the world ahead of them.

In 2024, I welcomed Quest, a beautiful male Working Cocker Spaniel, into my family. Thanks to concept training, Quest is thriving and I’m loving the amazing life we get to share together. Along our journey, we have developed a passion for canine fitness, and we are enjoying the many benefits of cavaletti and confidence circuits. These are brilliant for building focus, strength and body awareness—and I can’t wait to share them in upcoming Cavaletti programs.

Are you bringing a puppy home or struggling with challenges with your dog?

Spring 2 Action is here to support you with fun, tailored programs designed to create a stronger bond and lasting results.
